The Vision
What began as a simple desire to grow my own food and steward a piece of land responsibly has evolved into something larger. Orenda Pastures is not just a farm — it is the foundation of a regenerative platform centered on health, land stewardship, economic responsibility, and community resilience.The goal is to produce nutrient-dense food, restore the soil, and build a system that models personal responsibility, sound economics, and long-term thinking.The video below explains how the farm, the Academy, and the Foundation fit together into a unified vision for regenerative living.
Project Overview
Phase I — Infrastructure (In Progress)
Orenda Pastures is fully secured on 25 acres in Lake City, South Carolina. Initial improvements are underway, including the installation of a well, site preparation, driveway access, and coordination for electrical service. A 40’ x 60’ pole barn is currently in permitting and is expected to be completed by early April.The barn will serve as both the core farm infrastructure hub and the foundation for integrated living quarters.Phase I establishes the physical backbone of the farm and prepares the site for full operational activation.
Phase II — Capital Activation (Next)
Phase II focuses on completing the systems required to transition from infrastructure to full-time production. This includes finishing the living quarters within the barn, installing fencing and water systems for rotational grazing, building out wash/pack and cold storage capability, and funding initial livestock and equipment deployment.Completion of this phase enables full-time residency on the farm and allows daily operational management of livestock systems.Phase II converts the physical groundwork of the farm into a functioning regenerative enterprise.
Phase III — Production & Community (After Activation)
With infrastructure complete and full-time operations established, Phase III marks the beginning of sustained production. The farm begins regular output of pasture-raised eggs, broilers, lamb, beef, and additional seasonal products.At this stage, Founding Member farm credit becomes redeemable, educational programming expands, and the broader community component of Orenda Commons becomes active.Phase III represents the steady-state operation of a regenerative agricultural system designed for long-term durability and impact.
Ways to Support
To date, Orenda Pastures has been self-funded through Phase I infrastructure development. As we move into Phase II, we are seeking to accelerate the timeline by holding private discussions with a small group of aligned capital partners to complete the next stage of build-out.In addition, we are opening our Founding Membership program for those who wish to support the farm in exchange for future farm credit once production is active. We also welcome patronage at any level from those who simply want to contribute to the mission.
